LAMODA "KRASIVO"
WITH NIKITA KUKUSHKIN
"Beautiful" is a series of short-form documentaries exploring the transformation of fashion trends over the past 11 years, where our team worked on 9 out of 11 episodes. It tells the story of people's relationship with things: how we responded to flamboyance, authenticity, originality, redundancy, and, of course, the beauty of things offered to us by the fashion industry. Each episode focuses on a specific year and its popular trends, featuring an invited star guest who actively participated in the chronicle and was an eyewitness to the transformations in society and fashion during that time.
One of the most significant episodes for us turned out to be the one dedicated to the year 2017, examining the broad topic of mindful consumption and recycling. The main character of this episode is actor and activist Nikita Kukushkin, who is one of the organizers of the Box Dobro and Pomosch app projects.
To prepare the set decorations for the shoot, we utilized the accumulated resources of our workshop: unused materials, old props, and what seemed like trash. In the proper arrangement, all these items acquired a unique, serendipitous beauty, enhancing the joy of realizing the potential of a small yet waste-free production.
